Recently I purchased a Leitz Wetzlar Elmarit-R 35mm/2.8 – 1st Version which was made in 1960. The advertisement said „in good condition“, once it arrived it turned out more than just in good condition – it’s almost like new, a gem.
I took this lens out for a stroll and again ended up at repeatedly displayed Moricz Zsigmund körtér. This time i went underground.
At above mentioned square there are several entrances that give access to the M4 subway station, almost like a maze. This photo shows just one of many possible passages.
I’m still not sure if I should like this lens and keep it. For close portraits it is amazing, but for wider views i am not used to its look and character. Means further experiments are needed.
