Exploring the Passion Behind Dirk Sperling’s Photography

My name is Dirk Sperling, born in 1968. I live with my family in Schauenburg, a rural village near Kassel, right in the heart of Germany — surrounded by a beautiful landscape.

Photography has been a part of my life since I was a boy. Over the years, my involvement with it has had its ups and downs. But since 2017, I have returned to it with greater focus and a strong desire to grow and develop as a photographer.

Since then, I’ve been photographing with intention — consciously, quietly, and mostly alone.

For me, photography also includes the individual post-processing of each image, tailored to the specific mood and situation. Naturally, this is a subjective and deeply personal process.
